40 participants – 20 delegates from the EU-funded research group on Sonic Interaction Design, and 20 local designers, converged at HIT for a 1-day workshop on Sketching in Sonic Interaction Design, with a special focus on the use of the voice as a way to sketch sonic interactions. The workshop was composed of experiential sessions (vocal warm-up, vocal sketching session in groups), invited talks (on sketching, and on the human voice), and a poster and demo session (with a special interest in interactive experiences that involve the voice). The workshop ended with a discussion focused on the value of Vocal Sketching as a tool for SID.
Here is the EU website for the event,
and a little blog about sonic sketching that we created towards it.
